Swire Hotels created its Upper House collection to take luxury hospitality in a more personal, design-led direction. Each Upper House is shaped by its city, architecture and cultural setting, with a highly individual atmosphere that has helped make the collection one of the most admired in China and Asia.

At Upper House Hong Kong, we created a sound that sits naturally within André Fu’s serene, immersive interiors, using restraint and contemporary edge to preserve the House’s remarkable sense of space and calm. At Upper House Chengdu, set beside the historic Daci Temple, the creative direction required a different kind of balance. The music draws together the tradition of the setting and the energy of contemporary Chengdu, from the more intimate atmosphere of the library within the restored Bitieshi courtyard to the House's busier social spaces. Today, we work across the Upper House properties, supported by the team in our Shanghai office, with a long-standing partnership built alongside Swire’s own growth in the region.
