Creating the soundtrack for Dorchester Collection’s Dubai debut
Designed by Foster + Partners, with interiors by Gilles & Boissier and a culinary programme led by some of the world's most celebrated chefs, The Lana marked Dorchester Collection's first hotel in the Middle East. Music Concierge was selected as the property's music partner, to create distinct soundtracks across its restaurants and bars.
Helping world-class dining feel culturally relevant
Among the most nuanced briefs was Jara by Martín Berasategui, Dubai's first dedicated Basque dining concept.
The challenge was to honour the warmth and heritage of Basque culture without relying on obvious references, creating a sound that felt contemporary, sophisticated and relevant to a cosmopolitan Dubai audience. The result is a music direction that balances authenticity with contemporary appeal, helping define the atmosphere of both the restaurant and one of the city's most talked-about hotel openings. Beyond the initial music direction, our Middle East team provides ongoing support to the property, from music for private events to automated scheduling that ensures playback responds appropriately to local requirements such as the call to prayer.
