LUXURY HOSPITALITY

Building a music identity for India's leading luxury group

The Oberoi Group has defined Indian luxury hospitality for over 90 years, operating across restored royal palaces, contemporary city hotels and wildlife retreats. Each property brings its own architecture and setting. The challenge was to create a music identity strong enough to represent the brand, whilst being flexible enough to evoke the uniqueness and magic of each location.

One direction, expressed differently across every property

We defined a shared musical direction and translated it property by property, space by space, adjusting for cultural context and time of day.

In palaces, the music carries a sense of heritage and occasion, while in city hotels the sound is more contemporary and composed. In wildlife retreats it recedes into the surroundings without getting in the way of nature. In every setting it moves with the rhythm of the day, adapting as guests move through breakfast, leisure and evening dining.

THE OBEROI RAJGARH PALACE, KHAJURAHO

A 350-year-old palace requiring two distinct musical identities within one property

Built by the Bundela dynasty above the Maniyagarh Hills, Rajgarh Palace combines richly restored palace interiors with a more relaxed lakeside setting, creating two distinct atmospheres within one property. We shaped the music to reflect that contrast. Within the palace, the sound draws on Indian classical traditions rooted in Bundelkhand; around the lakeside restaurant, the direction becomes lighter and more open, while remaining connected to the same regional identity.  The guest journey moves naturally between the two moods as they pass through the property.
